At KidsEdutab, we are committed to ensuring you love your tech gadgets, whether it’s a smartphone, tablet, laptop, earbud, or watch. Our return policy is designed to provide a hassle-free experience, reflecting our motto: “Know Your Gadget Very Well, Your Quality and Affordable Tech Plug.” We offer a 30-day return window for all products, ensuring you have ample time to evaluate your purchase. We aim to make returns easy, transparent, and fair for both Nigerian and global customers.

Return Eligibility and Conditions

You may return a product purchased from kidsedutab.com within 30 days of delivery under the following conditions:

  1. Defective or Damaged Products: If the item is faulty, damaged upon arrival, or does not function as described (e.g., a Xiaomi phone that won’t charge due to a defective port).
  2. Wrong Item Delivered: If you receive an item different from what you ordered (e.g., you ordered an iPhone 16 Pro but received an iPhone 15).
  3. Change of Mind: If you simply change your mind, provided the item is in pristine, unused condition (e.g., seal unbroken for phones, laptops, or earbuds). Note that this does not apply to certain categories like earbuds or watches for hygiene reasons unless unopened.
  4. Counterfeit or Non-Verified Products: If the item is not an original product from the listed brand (e.g., a counterfeit Samsung Galaxy Watch).

General Conditions for Returns:

  • The product must be in its original packaging, including all accessories, tags, labels, and free gifts (if any).
  • For gadgets like phones and laptops, the seal must not be broken if returning due to a change of mind.
  • Proof of purchase (e.g., order number, invoice) is required to initiate a return.
  • Items must be unused or in the same condition as received, except when testing for defects (e.g., powering on a Vivo phone to check battery performance).

Non-Returnable Items:

  • Earbuds or watches opened and used, due to hygiene concerns.
  • Products damaged due to misuse, negligence, or improper handling (e.g., a cracked iPhone screen from dropping).
  • Items without proof of purchase or outside the 30-day return window.

Return Process

We’ve streamlined our return process to be as convenient as possible, drawing inspiration from Jumia’s easy return steps. Follow these steps to initiate a return:

  1. Initiate a Return Request:
    • Log in to your KidsEdutab account on kidsedutab.com.
    • Go to “My Orders” and select the order containing the item you wish to return.
    • Click on “Order Details,” then select “Request a Return” (available if the item is eligible within 30 days).
    • Fill out the return form, specifying the reason for return (e.g., defective, wrong item) and adding comments to clarify the issue (e.g., “Samsung earbuds not charging”) [Web ID: 12].
    • Alternatively, contact us via WhatsApp or call at +234812 369 2730 to initiate the process [Web ID: 12].
  2. Choose Your Return Method:
    • For Nigerian Customers:
      • Drop-Off: Drop the item at one of our stores:
        • Road 1, Suite C270, Ikota Shopping Complex VGC, Lagos
        • No 12 Oshitelu Street, Computer Village, Ikeja, Lagos
      • Pick-Up: Schedule a pick-up with our delivery agents via NIPOST or Gokada (₦4000-7000, free for defective/wrong items).
    • For Global Customers: Ship the item back to us via DHL (customer covers cost unless the item is defective/wrong). Return address: KidsEdutab, No 12 Oshitelu Street, Computer Village, Ikeja, Lagos, Nigeria.
  3. Package the Item:
    • Place the item in its original packaging with all accessories, tags, and free gifts (if applicable).
    • Include a copy of your order confirmation or invoice.
  4. Submit and Track:
    • Submit your return request online or confirm via WhatsApp.
    • Track your return status in “My Orders” or by contacting us at support@kidsedutab.com.

Inspection and Validation

Once we receive your returned item, our team will inspect it within 3-5 business days to validate your claim.

  • If the return meets our conditions (e.g., defective Apple Watch not syncing, seal intact for change-of-mind returns), we will proceed with your refund or replacement.
  • If the claim cannot be validated (e.g., damage due to misuse, missing accessories), the item will be redelivered to you, and no refund will be processed. This redelivery may take 5-10 days depending on your location.

Refund Process and Timelines

After validating your return, we’ll process your refund based on your preferred method. Here’s what to expect:

  • Refund Methods:
    • Original Payment Method: Refund to your bank account or mobile money (e.g., MTN Mobile Money) if you paid online.
    • KidsEdutab Voucher: A voucher worth the value of the returned product, valid for 180 days, which you can use for future purchases on kidsedutab.com.
    • Cash Refund for Payment on Delivery: For Nigerian customers who paid on delivery, refunds will be issued via bank transfer or mobile money.
  • Refund Timelines:
    • Refunds typically take 5-10 business days after validation, depending on your payment method and bank processing times.
    • Vouchers are issued instantly upon validation and emailed to you.
  • Shipping Fees:
    • If the return is due to a defect, damage, or wrong item, we cover return shipping costs (free pick-up in Nigeria, DHL cost refunded for global customers).
    • For change-of-mind returns, the customer covers return shipping.

Note: We do not offer direct exchanges or replacements at this time. You may return the item for a refund and place a new order for the desired product.

Warranty Coverage

All products sold on kidsedutab.com come with a 6-month warranty against manufacturing defects. If an item develops a fault within this period (e.g., a Google Pixel 9 Pro with a defective camera), you may return it under the warranty:

  • Follow the same return process outlined above.
  • Upon validation, we’ll repair, replace, or refund the item at our discretion.
  • The warranty does not cover damage due to misuse, accidents, or unauthorized repairs (e.g., water damage to a Huawei watch).

Special Considerations for Nigerian Customers

We understand the unique challenges in Nigeria, such as power outages, which may delay testing a device. Our 30-day return window (longer than Jumia’s 7-day policy  gives you ample time to evaluate your purchase. Additionally:

  • Payment on Delivery: If you paid on delivery, ensure your bank or mobile money details are provided for a smooth refund process.
  • Local Support: Visit our stores in Ikota or Ikeja for in-person assistance, or use our free pick-up service for defective items.

Global Customers

For customers outside Nigeria:

  • Returns must be shipped via DHL to our Ikeja address ( refunded for defective/wrong items).
  • Customs fees or duties on returns are your responsibility unless the return is due to our error.
  • Refunds will be processed to your original payment method, with timelines subject to international banking delays (typically 5-10 days post-validation).
